The Case of the &TD, directed by: Natalija Manojlović, produced by: The &TD Theatre
By: Ivana Anić
˝What are you doing? How long does it last? You are not doing anything. You are empty, you are boring. Your axis bores me’’, says Ana Karić to a dancer Ivana Pavlović, while she performs her ‘’axis study’’ at the very beginning of the play ‘’The Case of the &TD.’’ The new piece by dancer, choreographer and director Natalija Manojlović, was staged at the theatre in point – The &TD Theatre. The words at the beginning speak to the contemporary dance, to the avantgarde theatre, to the &TD Theatre and to the independent scene and to the culture in general, since none of the other characters are not spared of criticism or auto-irony. Hence, Ana Karić, as the Narcissistic Diva that spends most of her past time signing her own photographs and living on her old glory, is just another ‘’case’’ in a cultural-health institution – the &TD Theatre. ‘’And-the-what-know Theatre’’, as it says in the introduction of the play, The mental institution, to be politically incorrect. more >

Saloma, directed by Branko Brezovec; produktion: KotorArt (Montenegro) / EUROKAZ / MSU Zagreb / ZKM / Dom Kulture KKV (Dance studio) Sisak
By: Nikola Skojačić
Oscar Wilde subjected Salome of the Biblical chronotope to ideology. Miroslav Krleža, acting from similar ideological position, saves Salome from Wilde’s interpretation of social justice and turns such generic ideals to cynicism. Not only with its intertextuality but also with the form of his early one-act play, Krleža creates a basis for a modern reading. Branko Brezovec recognizes the post-dramatic potential of the text and gives Salome’s discourse even more supremacy than Krleža and places other characters that threaten to start a conflict into the second plane.
Death is not a Bicycle (So That They Could Steal It From You) by Biljana Srbljanović, directed by Slobodan Unkovski, Yugoslav Drama Theatre, Belgrade
By: Vanja Nikolić
Death is not a Bicycle (So That They Could Steal It From You) is an excellent title of a new text by Biljana Srbljanović. With an effect of a slogan for a new product, the title of the play stormed the market as the performance of the month in June this year. It seems that the campaign has been a success. The Great Stage of the Yugoslavian Drama Theatre is also sold out for November and the audience is amazed.

Glumice i to, KNAP, Zagreb, premijera 12.5.2012.
