Mikser Festival, an exhibition at Belgrade’s Cooperative, Belgrade, 25th May -25th June 2012.
By: Milena Milojević
Neon Night, i.e. Night of Museums and Creativity Festival, i.e. Mikser Festival are two very popular manifestations in Belgrade, which can take pride in their unusually numerous audience every year. Not only are these manifestations very popular, but they are also considered to have a spirit of carnival. While Night of Museums brings life to ‘’sleeping’’ exhibition spaces, Mikser Festival revives forgotten buildings, temporarily ‘’conquering’’ unused, public spaces.

How many shapes and forms does the post-Yugoslav age have? That is a question often asked by its inhabitants. The artist Asim Đelilović tackles the symbolic level of this phenomenon with Periphery/Heads/Tails which depraves reinterpretation of government and life in former Yugoslavia, confronting them with their own leftovers. Or confronting them with what is NOT left of them today, to be more precise.
Goran Micevski: Unclassified, Belgrade Culture Centre (BCC), Art Gallery, Belgrade, August 8 – August 30, 2012
By: Vladimir Bjeličić
In this day and age, especially in an era of digital communication, working with analogue technology does not lose its edginess. It produces a special kind of effect in relation to new digital technology, and this is the reason why many (art) photographers still use it. One of them is the Belgrade artist Goran Micevski. Although he sometimes intervenes digitally, he mostly stays loyal to the analogue technique, making original photographic series with unique visuals and atmosphere. These are conceptual compositions which question the medium itself, as well as many variations regarding political, social and artistic issues. In early August, the BCC hosted an opening of his solo exhibition Unclassified.

Glumice i to, KNAP, Zagreb, premijera 12.5.2012.
